Miller Foodservice Ordering App live in app stores in just 5 working days

Miller Foodservice are the latest wholesaler to take advantage of the RNF built Sanderson mobile ordering app. The project was confirmed last week and was live in the app stores within 5 working days.

The fully branded app allows Miller’s customers to order products 24/7 and has useful features such as instant barcode scanning and pre-populated shopping lists. It also gives customers access to their account history and is available for both iOS and Android users.

Miller Foodservice is Yorkshire’s leading foodservice wholesaler and they offer a one stop shop across Ambient, Chilled, Frozen and Non-food items with a product range in excess of 3000 lines.

The app links with RNF’s bespoke mobile customer engagement platform BEAM which has three main functions. Firstly, it enables Miller Foodservice to deliver engaging digital content to their app users based on their profile, behaviour and location. Campaigns can be made up of a mix of SMS, simple push notifications (text) and rich push notifications (jpegs, video etc.).

Secondly it gives access to a number of places within the ordering apps, such as banners and interstitial ads, that can be used to advertise specific products. In addition, there are then a number of categories that can be used to highlight products and drives sales such as ‘new products’, ‘related products’, ‘featured products’ and ‘trending products’.

Finally, it gives Miller Foodservice important business intelligence from app sales and campaigns enabling them to create ever more successful campaigns.
