The Chief Technical Officer of the company behind the Bestway, Blakemore, Abra and Filshill wholesale apps will share insights into how mobile apps are revolutionising the industry during IDG Wholesaling 2017.
Mike Mannion of RNF Digital Innovation, will present alongside Alice Gheissari of Coca-Cola European Partners and David Gilroy of Store Excel in a session titled The Changing Path to Purchase, which will look at how millennial retailers and new digital technologies are changing how the industry engages with customers and suppliers.
Mike’s presentation Mobile: The Insights Generator will share insights into how mobile apps are performing versus traditional distribution channels and websites. He will also explore ways in which wholesalers can encourage app downloads among their customers, making the most of location technologies and user data to improve communications and generate stronger sales.
Mike Mannion, Chief Technical Officer at RNF Digital, said: “We’ve been working in the wholesale sector for many years now and have seen a significant increase in the take up of digital technologies in that time. Changes to the way in which apps are developed mean the costs associated with developing an app are now within reach of even the smaller wholesalers.
“We hope the presentation will help demystify the world of apps for those attending the conference and illustrate the opportunities for suppliers and wholesalers to make the most of opportunities presented by new digital technologies”
IGD Wholesaling 2017 takes place on Wednesday 6 September at Cavendish Conference Centre in London, with The Changing Path to Purchase session beginning at 2.15pm.
