Bristol based Chapple & Jenkins are the first Confex customer to go live with their own fully branded wholesale ordering app built by RNF. The wholesaler supplies a wide range of products to organisations including educational establishments, local authorities, hotels, catering businesses and festivals.
The ordering app, which is available on both the iOS and Android platforms, offers functionality such as barcode scanning, search and filters, click & collect or delivery options, and a Profit On Return (POR) calculator.
Importantly for Confex it is fully integrated with RNF’s bespoke mobile customer engagement platform Beam. The platform enables Confex to deliver supplier product promotions throughout the app directly to Chapple & Jenkins customers, opening up an important direct communications channel that previously has not existed. With existing supplier promotions run through Beam delivering impressive results, such as a 22% uplift in sales versus trend-line for a recent drinks promotion, this is a significant new channel for Confex and its suppliers to take advantage of.
Rob Mannion, RNF managing director said: “It’s great to see the first ordering app go live as part of our partnership with Confex. The app offers market-leading functionality and will prove invaluable for Chapple & Jenkins and their customer base. Having seen the impact Beam is having on other wholesalers who are using it, I’ve no doubt the app will be a huge success.”
Tom Gittins, Confex Business Development Manager said “By making a cutting-edge ordering app available to our members, once again we’re proving the advantages of being part of the Confex family. Plus, by linking the apps to RNF’s Beam platform, suppliers can take advantage of this exciting and proven new channel to deliver marketing directly to retailers ensuring the very best ROI for all.”
