First winner of RNF’s Big App Giveaway announced

Multihope – the Yorkshire-based foodservice wholesaler which operates under the KE Bland and JG Bellerby brands – has been chosen as the first winner of RNF’s Big App Giveaway competition.

Multihope win their own fully-branded Beam Commerce app for a year and access to RNF’s award-winning Customer Engagement Platform. Unlike traditional apps which are device-specific, the Beam Commerce app works and synchronises across mobile, tablet and desktop devices and the Customer Engagement Platform Beam means Multihope will be able to tailor the in-app experience to reflect the buying habits and preferences of individual customers. This functionality ensures customer communications are relevant and timely and opens up new revenue streams through the sale of rich-content, in-app advertising and push notification campaigns.

Applications for the second round of the Big App Giveaway are now open, with the second winner set to benefit from an enhanced prize package that also includes a 12-month licence for food product data provider Erudus.

Rob continued: “We recently announced a commercial partnership with Erudus that will see users of our Beam Commerce platform who have signed up to Erudus receiving enhanced product data during the purchasing process.  We’re delighted that we’ve also been able to team up with Erudus to boost the value of our next Big App Giveaway prize, providing the winning wholesaler with access to a great food product data tool that will greatly enhance the customer engagement experience.”

To be in with a chance of winning the second Giveaway, wholesalers should complete the entry form here and submit it by the end of June. The winner will be chosen by a panel of industry experts with the lucky wholesaler being announced within 30 days of the deadline for entries and their app going live shortly afterwards.
