The app also enables customers to view their account history and is available is available on both iOS and Android.

As with all RNF apps, the Giro Food app will be supercharged with Beam, RNF’s bespoke customer engagement platform. The platform which is already being used by a number of wholesalers such as Bestway, Abra and Blakemore has a variety of functions such as messaging via SMS or rich push notifications, in-app advertising and business intelligence. Wholesalers already using the platform are seeing significant benefits to their businesses with higher transactions and increased average order sizes.

Rob Mannion, RNF Managing Director, said, “We’re seeing more and more foodservice operators turning to mobile apps due to the huge benefits they offer over just mobile optimised websites. With apps you can engage with your customers as and when you want via push notifications, offer more useful functionality such as barcode scanners and deliver an improved user experience. In addition, all our apps come with Beam built-in meaning Giro Food will be able to engage with their customers in a personalised way which has proven to deliver a significant ROI for other wholesalers.”
