RNF Digital shortlisted for its Customer Engagement Platform – BEAM


The list of finalists for the 8th annual CIM Marketing Excellence Awards is out and RNF Digital Innovation is proud to have been named in the Best use of Digital Marketing category for our Bestway Wholesale iBeacon campaign, run through our customer engagement platform BEAM.

The award recognises the best use of digital to achieve a business objective and finalists needed to demonstrate how their digital channels and technology delivered marketing excellence and a strong return on investment. We were able to do exactly that.

Our BEAM platform enables Bestway to carefully manage notifications to their app users by using location technology such as iBeacons and geofences coupled with behavioural insight, to deliver digital content specific to an individual customer at a relevant time and location, ensuring user-experience is maximised.

By Geofencing and deploying iBeacons into 63 Bestway depots around the UK, the communications were tailored based on customers’ behaviour and location. Messages were sent to customers to drive them into the depot and once there, using the location technology, relevant offers and information were sent to individual retailers, as they entered the depot, or when they were next to an appropriate product.

The BEAM platform not only allows Bestway to manage and evaluate these campaigns, it also allows them to set rules to ensure the best ROI possible and avoid messages becoming SPAM.
